On Saturday we travel to Camelford for the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Vase.  Check out the Gaffer’s thoughts in advance of the derby.

It’s great to be involved in the Vase for the first time in a few years.

If you aren’t going to get a trip to a new ground then I guess playing a local derby is the next best thing.

This will be a really tough game. Everyone I’ve spoken to, have told me how well Camelford have been going, and I saw plenty to admire when I watched them myself on Tuesday. I think this will be a clash of different styles but like most football matches will come down to a few key moments.

This will be my first time in an opposing dugout to Reg in a competitive match.  Thirty years of managing a side is an incredible achievement and he’s got a squad together worthy of the landmark year.

We are still in good heart after a convincing win against Callington midweek. Each time we’ve dropped points this season we have bounced back with a victory which marks a big mental improvement from us.

It’s a great tie for all involved and I cant wait for 3pm Saturday.

Enjoy the game
