Illogan RBL 2-3 Bridgers Ladies (Cornwall Cup Round 1)

For the first time since reforming five seasons ago, the Bridgers Ladies team are through to the second round of the Cornwall Cup after putting in a terrific performance to overcome Illogan RBL 3-2 on their own patch.

The Bridgers goals were scored by Sonja Wallace-Fox, Jess Colwill, and Emma Jones.

The team will be hoping for a home game in the second round.

North Petherwin U15s 3-10 Bridgers U15s

The U15s got their league campaign on the way with a superb 10-3 victory on Sunday morning.

The young Bridgers scored three quick goals, only for the home side to pull one back. Undeterred, the Bridgers scored three more to lead the contest 6-1 at the break.

Both sides traded goals during the second half to leave the Bridgers 8-3 ahead, but two late goals saw them reach double figures.

The Bridgers goalscorers were, Caiden Pearn 4, Owen Bray 2, Ollie Wilson, Sam Robinson, Alex Johnston, and Roman Samm with 1 each.
