Check out the Gaffer’s thoughts as we welcome the players, staff and supporters of Wendron to Bodieve Park on Saturday.
One step forwards, one step back, seems to describe our season perfectly. After the disappointment of our last home game versus Newquay when we were ahead and then Newquay equalised with a goal of the season contender (which you can never do anything about apart from applaud), we then managed to lose the game with the last kick of the game.
We then travelled to Penzance where we put in a much improved performance and came away winning 1-4.
Last weekend we travelled to Sticker, who we had beaten convincingly at home earlier in the season, we dominated for the 1st 20 minutes, then conceded a sloppy goal and unfortunately couldn’t find the collective effort to break down a resilient home side.
On a positive, note we were delighted to welcome Lewis Tonkin back after the success of his initial 10 weeks basic training with the RAF. We cant wait to have him back flying around the pitch.
Onwards and upwards and I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the players, management and everyone involved with Wendron and we look forward to a cracking match today.
Enjoy the Game
