We wanted to say a massive thank you to our retiring physio and Club legend Shardz.
Sadé (or Shardz as we all know her) is stepping down as our physio after 10 years in her role as she takes up her next life adventure. We want to send her our heartfelt thanks and she was righlty presented a lovely bouquet at our awards dinner on Saturday night.
Shardz has been one of our superstars who often went unnoticed on match day, but was a vital cog in our whole management team and football operations. Shardz literally kept our team in one piece! Before every game she could be found taping up and diagnosing injuries to ensure we could get a team out for the match. During the game she took care of every injury and after the game there was often a queue for the physio’s room.
Shardz has been our physio since 2012 and has just comoleted her 3rd and final year of her Physiotherapy degree at University of Plymouth and completed her placement at Penzance.
Shardz also does some great work for charity and in 2019 she ran the London Marathon raising over £2,000 for her chosen charity of Whizz-Kidz. This was a fantastic achievement for Whizz-Kidz who work hard to transform the lives of wheelchair users across the UK, supporting them to become confident and independent young adults.

All in all, Shardz has been an absolute super star and we are so pleased to have had her as a dedicated and loyal Bridger and we wish her all the very best in her next adventure.
Thanks Shardz from all of us 😊
