Check out the Gaffer’s thoughts as we welcome the players, staff and supporters of league leaders St Blazey to Bodieve Park on Wednesday evening.
Wednesday evening sees two in form teams go at it in what should be a cracker.
Although there were bits to like about our performance at St Blazey last month, I felt we never expressed ourselves enough and came off wondering what we may have got if we were a little braver in possession. Credit to St Blazey they didn’t let us settle and deserved the win but I’m hoping for a little more swagger from us tonight.
This time last season we didn’t have the depth of squad we enjoy this time around, we had a mounting injury list and our seasons ambitions fell away in the space of 4 weeks
This time we have more depth and currently have few injury concerns.
That has provided some real tough decisions, some decent players are left out of the 16.
The bench on Saturday was the strongest since I’ve been in charge.
They say it’s a nice problem to have and I guess it is, however I’ll never get used to leaving good people out of a match day squad.
Tom Shepherd has joined the club and made an impressive debut as a second half sub against Launceston. He gives us further options in the forward areas.
This is a game I’m really looking forward to. I think we’ve progressed since we played them last, let’s see if we can produce on the night and get the 3 points.
Enjoy the match.
