Check out the Gaffer’s thoughts as we welcome the players, staff and supporters of Liskeard Athletic to Bodieve Park on Wednesday.

We come into this one following back to back defeats for the first time this season.

Ive been a little disappointed with the performances, we’ve just been a little flat and I think you can add the Camelford victory to that description too

One thing we won’t be doing is panicking. Whilst it would be remiss of us not to try to delve into the reasons why we have fallen short of our standards, we also need to recognise that this is part and parcel of football at all levels.

I’ve a clear idea on how we can improve and will be looking to implement that.

Liskeard look like they have really clicked into gear and will be a tough test as always.

We lost 3-0 up there after losing a player and our way in the second half.

We will approach things slightly differently tonight and hopefully that will bring about the necessary improvement, similar to what happened in our return match with St Blazey last month.

The league looks like it may well be a cracker this season, wide open.

The two pre season favourites occupy the top two spots as I write this but matches seem to be very much ‘on the day’ and points are being dropped. Add in the extra incentive for a top 4 spot and it’s set up nicely.

A positive for us tonight is that Sam Gerken and Tom Harris will return to the side. Unfortunately Brad Rowe aggravated a knee injury on Saturday and looks like he may miss out. This one may also come a little quick for Chris Reski but we will look at it nearer the time.

These games against Liskeard rarely disappoint and I think anyone attending is in for a proper game of football

Enjoy the match
