Check out the Gaffer’s thoughts and our Matchday programme as we welcome the players, staff and supporters of Launceston to Bodieve Park.
I’m writing this shortly after a titanic battle against Saltash where unfortunately we lost by the odd goal in 9
I have to take a deep breath and just focus on the performance and not get too emotive about things, as it’s very easy to come across bitter when you lose but let’s just say, sometimes things are out of your control
Fair play to Saltash, they had setbacks within the game but really asked huge questions of us, even with 10 men.
So plenty of pride in the changing room afterwards but disappointed things didn’t go our way.
This game comes around quick and we will be in a position to freshen things up after tonight’s efforts. As much as we would have like to be in the semi finals, this is our biggest game of the week.
We need to cement our place within the top 4 and winning our home games is a must. The cup tied trio of Ryan Downing, Jack Bowyer and Ross Fallens will be in contention.
Launceston have picked up in recent weeks and will be a proper test, although they were below par when I watched them at Bude at the beginning of the month.
That was on an extremely heavy pitch and I expect better to come from them today
The race for the top 4 and promotion is hotting up. It’s great to be in contention, every game we have to be at our best. Currently it’s in our hands but the margin for error is small
Let’s hope today is a victorious one that takes us one step closer
Enjoy the game
