Really tough to know how to feel currently. We’ve been winning our last 3 games going into the last 5 minutes, however instead of being in the last 4 of the senior cup and perhaps putting ourselves back in the title race, it was heartache at Saltash and we are now definitely in a scrap for top 4.
Two of the three performances were decent, only once did we dip below the standards the lads have set themselves and that was home to Launceston.
Had we scored the 93rd minute equaliser at Bude rather than concede it, the result would have been the same but the dressing room would have been a completely different place at full time.
As a group, we need to remember it’s only one league defeat since early October, levels have been high, and we need 6 more huge efforts to see if we can get over the line.
The fixture schedule being loaded front end, allied to godolphin’s withdrawal, has led to the challenge of trying to maintain some sort of rhythm with playing once a fortnight,
Lads have been going out, playing for various other clubs, which keeps them ticking over I guess, although that comes with obvious perils.
Sticker have been a little busier and will provide their usual tough test.
We are really good down Burngullow, but needed a late Morgan Vallejo winner to take all 3 points.
We will have to be at it again and I’m pretty sure we will be on Saturday
